Piercings
The Do's

Wash hands before touching piercing(s)

Use a saline solution on a q-tip, gently cleaning both sides of the piercing

Oral piercings: use an alcohol free antispetic mouthwash

Rinse the piercing(s) with warm water

Do this 2-3 times a day
The Dont's
-
Touch any piercing(s) without washing hands
-
Leave the piercing(s) alone as it will "heal on it's own"

Use a cleaning agent not suggested by a professional piercer
-
Forget to clean oral piercing(s) because "brushing your teeth" will take care of it
Tattoos
The Do's
-
Wash your hands before touching tattoo(s)
-
Gently, but firmly, lather with dial gold antibacterial soap
-
Use aquaphor sparingly to keep tattoo from being dry
-
Wash tattoo(s) 2-3 times a day
The Dont's
-
Touch tattoo(s) without washing hands
-
Use scented soaps to cleans tattoo(s)
-
Use lotions to keep tattoo(s) moisturized
-
Go without any type of moisturizer because you have "oily skin"
